A product of Trinity College , Kandy . Jeremy represented the school at rugby from U 13 onwards culminating in representing the 1st XV in 1987 a year which is known as the 'Golden year of Rugby at Trinity' as the team was unbeaten right through the season annexing the coveted Bradby shield, De Saram Trophy and the Premadasa Trophy for the first time.
Jeremy's affiliation with the CR started in the early 1970's when as a toddler he accompanied his Father an ardent CR member to Longden Place for the CR matches. Needless to say Jeremy's son Diresh too seems to follow in his fathers footsteps and is regularly seen at most CR games. The David family's association with the CR is akin to their affiliation to Trinity, with almost everyone resident in Sri Lanka being members of the club. Jeremy represented the CR 'bees' during 1988 after which he gave up playing on the field to concentrate more at the bar.
Jeremy's sole aim is that the CR be proclaimed as the best rugby playing club in Sri Lanka by its performance and as a lively and sought after social club for its members and their guests.
Jeremy is a qualified graduate from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and is currently employed as the General Manager [Marketing] at DAC Graphics in Colombo . He resides in Colombo with his wife Amali and their two children Sereta and Diresh.

Savantha or “Sava” as he is fondly known, is an old boy of St.Thomas College and represented his school for 4 years in the first XV team and captained the team in his final year in 1992. His regular position was no 8, but with age catching up and quite rightly leaving room for the youngsters to grow accustomed to the no 8 position, he has switched to the 2 nd row position and certainly holds the scrum like a rock. His most memorable moment is winning the league championship in 1996, under his comrade in battle, Viraj Prasantha. Savantha has represented Sri Lanka on numerous occasions commencing in 1996 for a period of 7-8 years. He currently is a new father of baby boy, and we all hope that Sam and he would send this bundle of joy to the CR & FC to continue in his dad's “big” shoes.
