The CR & FC have had numerous high points in the history of the club and it would be pertinent to name a few.

• Unbeaten Clifford Cup winners in 1958.
  
  
• Winners of the All India and South Asia rugby tournament in 1958.
  
  
• 1st Rugby Club in Ceylon to make an overseas tour to Thailand in 1960.
  
  
• Unbeaten League Champions in 1973. 1st Flood lit rugby match in Sri Lanka with CR beating an invitation XV in 1973.
  
  
• The first Ladies vs CR & FC Old Crocks match was played in 1974.
  
  
• 1st President’s Trophy winners in 1977.
  
  
• 1st Winners of seven-a-side tournament held by the SLRFU in 1977.
  
  
• 1st Premadasa Trophy holders in 1984.
  
  
• 1st winners of the 10 a side under 24 tournament in 1994.
  
  
• 1st winners of the Carlsberg Trophy in 1996, which was also an unbeaten year for the club.
  
  
• Interestingly, there were four occasions in the history of the Clifford Cup that the CR & FC took custody of the trophy with a record of three successive wins in a row for three consecutive years. First it was 1954-56, 1957-59, 1964-66 and last feat in 1987 to 1989.
