There is a large turn out at practice which gives Coach Grant and the management a good pool from which to pick the final team. Selections for the final team will become all the more competitive when more of the present school boys turn up for practice after the final school matches this weekend and national pool trials. Unfortunately we will miss the services of some of our outstanding young players who are in training with the national team. One can only sit back and imagine what a wonderful Under 21 team we could have had with the likes of Sherrif, Loku, Anuradha, Anuja, and Sandil (ex-Navy). We would have been just about invincible!

The under 21 tournament sponsored by Hameedias will begin on the 9^th of October with our first game on Monday the 10 th of October against the Kotalawela Defence Academy at 5.00pm The CR team will be in group D along with KDA and Old Nalandians and will take on the Old Nalandians on the 16^th of October at 3.45pm. All games will be played at Havelock Park .

We hope that our CR fans will continue to show their support as they have done throughout the season and will come out in numbers to cheer on the team, and see some of future stars of CR in action
